Peter Milczyn was first elected to the Ontario legislature in 2014 as the MPP for Etobicoke-Lakeshore.
Milczyn currently serves as Minister of Housing, as well as Minister Responsible for the Poverty Reduction Strategy. He was previously Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Labour, and the Minister of Infrastructure. Prior to that, he was Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure, focusing on Infrastructure.
Milczyn graduated from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Architecture in 1989, and went on to found PZM Design, which focused on both private and public projects. He served as the Executive Director of Tatry Non-Profit Housing Corporation in Mississauga from 1993-1994.
Milczyn was first elected as a councillor in the former City of Etobicoke in 1994, and later continued to represent Etobicoke on Toronto City Council for fourteen years.
Milczyn grew up in Mimico and is a lifelong resident of Etobicoke, where he and his wife are proudly raising their daughter.
